Own a piece of history with this professionally done video program of the 1988 Cen-Tex ASC Stockdog Futurity held in Richmond, Texas in February of that year.  This was originally a VHS tape and has been authored into a DVD and presented in a top quality DVD container.  I have purchased the copyright so this could be done and offered to the public as the original had been discarded by the company, but they did hold the copyright.  At this event in 1988, 31 dogs came from ten states and Canada to compete for cash and prizes.  The dogs had been nominated in 1986, the year of their birth, so they were puppies when they were originally nominated.  45 dogs had been entered during the two years, and these were the ones who actually made it to the competition. 

The rules stated that none of the dogs could compete prior to the event, so this was their first trial.  From this futurity there emerged some of the greatest dogs on the late eighties and nineties, and the majority of the Finals dogs here are WTCH’s and Hall of Fame Producers.  This includes two of the three (to date 2014) Supreme Champion Stockdogs in the breed.  This was their debut.  This is a quality work showing portions of all ten Finals runs on both cattle and sheep, interviews with some of the judges and contestants, the dogs’ names and scores appear the the beginning of their run, and it ends with the awards banquet and final results.  Run time is one hour.

We have available a DVD made by Steve that shows initial exposures of young dogs to stock, how to begin directing dogs to work with you and for you, and will give you easy-to-follow directions on how to get the best out of your dog.  The information applies to the rancher / farmer and also to potential Stockdog Trialers.
